• Bonfire

  Today is the weekend in such a long time that I took a full lazy rest. I woke up this morning around 8am, and talked to my boyfriend on the phone, and then went back to sleep again until 12pm today. :P It's been such a long long long time that I slept past 9am. I've always been busy during the weekends with meetings or teachings, and have to be awake before 7am to prepare to go out.

  The above picture was taken while sitting near the bonfire early morning, around 6am at Inle Lake in Shan State. I went there with Myanmar Youths in Action and other youths for Youth Camp. We spend the night at Le Thit A Htet Kyaung, a monastery in Inle Lake. It was so cold that morning that I couldn't sleep anymore I woke up. I was shivering beneath my blanket, so I just had to get up, and manage to wash my face and brush my teeth with icy cold water. And then just went down to the ground where they had a small bonfire going. The kid is one of the kids who was living at the monastery.

  I've been lazy to blog these days. But I still have a few posts to write, which are about my trip to Mon and Kayin State, and to Inle Lake in Shan State after the next week. Maybe tomorrow night.
